Arrowpoint Capital 401(k) Plan Named One of Ten Best In Charlotte for Fourth Consecutive Ranking
06/03/2015

Arrowpoint Capital was ranked sixth among the top 10 Charlotte area companies with the best 401(k) plans containing more than $50 million in assets, according to BrightScope, a San Diego financial information company.

This was the fourth consecutive ranking in which the company’s plan has been in the Top 10. Arrowpoint ranked seventh in 2014, fifth in 2012 and tenth in 2010. Prior to this year, the rankings have been conducted biennially since being established in 2010.

Arrowpoint’s plan was in the top 15% of plans in its peer group nationwide. It was also in the top 15% for company generosity, account balances, salary deferrals and total plan cost. Like the other companies in the Charlotte Top 10, Arrowpoint’s plan was recognized for offering immediate vesting.

“Businesses in Charlotte have some of the best vesting schedules we’ve seen in over a year,” said Brooks Herman, Head of Data Research at BrightScope. “North Carolina companies are working hard to give their employees the best options, and helping them build towards a stable financial future.”

According to its release, BrightScope has rated nearly 50,000 401(k) and 403(b) plans, spanning more than 57 million workers and over $3 trillion in assets. The rating, developed with leading independent 401(k) fiduciaries, reviews more than 200 unique data inputs per plan and calculates a single numerical score that defines plan quality at the company level.

Other companies in the Top 10 included Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A. (#1); Bank of America Merrill Lynch (#2); Moore & Van Allen; Rexam; Cogentrix Energy Power Management; and Clariant Corporation.
