11/29/2016

Andre Lefebvre, Arrowpoint Capital’s Financial Risk Officer, has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors for AIRROC, a nonprofit association of insurance and reinsurance companies that have legacy business in their portfolio.

AIRROC, or the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Run-off Companies, was formed in 2004, and Arrowpoint joined soon thereafter. Membership is on a corporate level and includes major US and international companies, well-known rehabilitations, receiverships and liquidations that impact a significant portion of US and overseas business.  Brokers, third-party administrators and managers that handle runoff business are also members.

Andre has been Arrowpoint’s primary representative at AIRROC over the past 12 years.  “I have seen firsthand the contributions that AIRROC has made in addressing the issues and challenges facing the legacy insurance business,” he said. “Now I look forward to expanding my work with AIRROC by serving on the board of directors.”

Andre assumed his current position as Financial Risk Officer in October 2003. Prior to that, he managed Discontinued Operations in the Risk Office for Royal & SunAlliance USA.  Immediately before that, he was the company’s Credit and Market Risk Executive.

Throughout his career, Andre has specialized in the nontraditional risk arenas, as well as in the comprehensive assessment and management of risk. He has worked with such prestigious firms at Tillinghast-Towers Perrin, Johnson & Higgins, Arthur Andersen LLP and Winterthur International.

AIRROC’s vision is to be the most valued (re)insurance industry educator and network provider for issue resolution and creation of optimal exit strategies.  AIRROC’s mission is to promote and represent the interests of entities with legacy business by improving industry standards and enhancing knowledge and communications within and outside of the (re)insurance industry.  To learn more about AIRROC, visit its website at www.airroc.org
